Eddie Barth

Eddie Barth (born September 29, 1931 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania , † May 28, 2010 in Los Angeles , California ), actually Edward Michael Bartholetti , was an American actor and voice actor .

Life

Barth began his career in 1963 as an extra in an episode of the series Twilight Zone . Until the late 1960s, he occasionally appeared in small roles in television series. He made his feature film debut in Woody Allen's comedy Bananas in 1971 . In the same year he played a small role alongside Richard Roundtree in the hit blaxploitation film Shaft . When the film was later adapted into a television series with Roundtree, he received the role of Lt. Al Rossi . Although the series was canceled after seven episodes, from this point on Barth received guest roles in numerous successful series formats such as The Streets of San Francisco and Kojak - Use in Manhattan in the 1970s and Murder Is Her Hobby and Magnum in the 1980s. German-speaking television audiences will remember Barth primarily for his portrayal of Myron Fowler in the Simon & Simon series .

Barth also worked as a voice actor, in addition to cartoons he also had speaking roles in Piggy Babe in the Big City and Osmosis Jones . His voice was also heard in the US nationwide advertising campaign for Miller Lite in the 1980s .
