Charles Fehrenbach (astronomer)
Charles Fehrenbach (born April 29, 1914 in Strasbourg , France , † January 9, 2008 in Nîmes ) was a French astronomer and a member of the Académie des Sciences .
He was a professor at the Université de Haute-Provence ( Marseille ) and Honorary Director of the Observatoire de Haute-Provence (OHP), of which he was director until 1983.

- 1963 Karl Schwarzschild Medal of the Astronomical Society for his work The determination of radial velocities with the objective prism .
- 1966 admission to the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina
- 1990 namesake for the asteroid (3433) Fehrenbach
