Charles Hesse

Charles Hesse (born February 19, 1901 in London , † August 1, 1971 in Bremen ) was a German politician ( CDU ) and was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

Hesse attended high school in Stettin . He was then a Royal Saxon Cadet from 1914 to 1918 and, after the war, an apprentice in the Randow / Pommem district. This was followed by an agricultural degree at the Technical University in Munich with a subsequent state examination. From 1925 to 1928 he was goods director in Klink near Waren / Müritz, and from 1928 to 1936 he was a farmer in Canada on a large wheat farm. In 1936 he returned to Germany and became the tenant of the Seehof and Schönfeld estates in the Wismar district. From 1939 to 1945 he did his military service. In 1945 he was expelled from there and was accepted by relatives in Verden. From 1945 to 1965 he was administrator of the Lohof estate in the Verden district. He was married and had two children. Charles Hesse died on August 1, 1971 in Bremen.

Offices

Hesse had been chairman of the rural health insurance fund in the Verden district since 1955 . Since it was re-established after the war, he was a member of the Hanover Chamber of Agriculture , including as a member of the personnel committee. Since 1960 he has been chairman of the Verden district association of the Lower Saxony rural people and at the same time district farmer of the Verden district.

Hesse was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament for the 6th electoral period from June 6, 1967 to June 20, 1970.
