Charles Louis Joseph Vandame SJ (born June 4, 1928 in Colombes ) is old archbishop of N'Djaména .

Life

Charles Louis Joseph Vandame joined the religious community of Jesuits and was ordained a priest on September 7, 1960 . John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of N'Djamena on May 23, 1981 .

The Pope personally consecrated him bishop on January 6 of the next year ; Co-consecrators were Eduardo Martínez Somalo , Substitute of the State Secretariat , and Lucas Moreira Neves OP , Secretary of the Congregation for Bishops .

On July 31, 2003, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
