Charlie (singer)
Charlie (actually: Károly Horváth ; born October 28, 1947 in Ondód ) is a Hungarian rock and soul singer.
From the mid-1960s he sang with Hungarian rock bands such as Decca and Olympia , later Generál followed and, since 1989, the soul formation Tátrai Band around the guitarist Tátrai Tibor . Since 1994 he has also published solo albums under his name Charlie , almost all of which were able to place in the Hungarian charts. He was selected to represent Hungary at the 1998 Eurovision Song Contest in Birmingham . With the soul ballad A holnap már nem lesz szomorú , however, he only reached third from last place.
