Gábor Alfréd Fehérvári (born April 8, 1990 in Győr ), better known by his stage name Freddie , is a Hungarian singer . He represented Hungary at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 , after he had prevailed as the winner in the final of the preliminary decision A Dal , and came in 19th.

Career

Freddie first became famous in Hungary after finishing fourth in the Hungarian version of Rising Star in the first year of 2014. He had previously sung in bands and played the guitar. At the A Dal 2016 , he prevailed first in the first quarter-finals with his song Pioneer , which he repeated in the second semi-finals. After all, on February 27th, he also took first place in the final and is allowed to represent his home country at the Eurovision Song Contest , where he qualified in the first semi-final for the final in mid-May. He moderated the Hungarian preliminary round A Dal in 2018 and 2019 .
