András Kállay-Saunders (born January 28, 1985 in New York ), also called Kállay Saunders , is a Hungarian - American pop singer .
Career
András Kállay-Saunders accompanied his father, the electric bassist Fernando Saunders (with Lou Reed , Heart, among others ) on tours at a young age . In 2011 he stayed in Hungary, mainly to spend time with his sick grandmother. That year he took part in the TV2 talent show Megasztár , where he came in fourth. Then several singles appeared on the Hungarian record market.
He represented Hungary at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark with the pop song Running , after he prevailed against seven competitors in the preliminary decision A Dal 2014 on February 22nd. He finished fifth in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2019 he will again take part in A Dal with his band The Middletonz .
