Charlie Higson

Charles Murray Higson (born July 3, 1958 in Frome, Somerset ) is an English author , singer and actor. Today he lives in London and works as a writer of scripts and thrillers for adults. He was also one of the inventors and main actors of the BBC comedy show "The Fast Show", together with Paul Whitehouse . He was also involved in Harry Enfield's Television Programs, Swiss Toni and Randall & Hopkirk.

biography

Higson studied at Sevenoaks School and the University of East Anglia . There he founded the band "The Higsons" with David Cummings and Terry Edwards . From 1980 to 1986 he was active there as a singer . For a short time he then worked as a plasterer before becoming a comedian . He was considered one of the most famous writers and artists and was co-inventor of the BBC show "The Fast Show" in 1994 , which became a great success.

In 2004 it was announced that he would write the books on James Bond as a teenager at Eton College . Higson was approached by Ian Fleming Publications to produce this book series. He was instantly excited and began researching so that the books would be perfectly matched to the famous spy's films . In doing so, he reached a younger reading audience for the first time. The first volume was published in March 2005 under the name Young Bond . Meanwhile, with the fifth book, the last part of the series has been published.

Charlie Higson is currently working on a zombie horror book series for children and teenagers. The first part, The Enemy , was published in 2009, Volume 2, The Dead , 2010, Volume 3, The Fear , 2011 and Volume 4, The Sacrifice , 2013. The series has not yet been translated into German.
