Charlotte Praechter

Charlotte Praechter (born November 3, 1918 in Neu Rachow , Teterow district) is a former German factory worker and functionary of the Democratic Women's Association of Germany (DFD). She was a member of the People's Chamber of the GDR .

Life

The daughter of a master fisherman attended elementary school in Alt Rachow and worked as a housemaid from 1936 to 1938.

From 1950 she worked as a worker and from 1953 as a brigade leader in the Rostock jam, canning and vinegar factory (ROKOMA). In 1951 she became a member of the DFD and the FDGB . In 1955 she became the BGL chairperson in her company.

From 1954 to 1963 she was a member of the DFD parliamentary group in the People's Chamber . In 1955 she joined the SED . She was a member of the standing committee for economic and financial issues of the People's Chamber. From 1957 she was a member of the Rostock district board of the trade union trade, food and enjoyment. From 1958 she was a member of the management of the Works Party Organization (BPO) of the SED and deputy chairwoman of the DFD district board in Rostock .
