Charlotte Scheier-Herold , also Charlotte Scheier , (born July 2, 1900 in Berlin , † in December 1969 ) was a German actress and voice actress .

Life

Charlotte Scheier-Herold performed in theaters in the German-speaking province until 1945. Since the late 1920s it has been detectable on theaters in Beuthen , Potsdam , Gotha-Sondershausen , Hanover , Iglau , Brno and Sopot, among others . After the Second World War she mainly played on various Munich theaters. She was engaged at the Munich Lustspielhaus until 1948, and between 1952 and 1953 at the Kleine Komödie . Other theater stations were the Ateliertheater and the Münchner Kammerspiele , where she played the mother in Jean Anouilh's Lerche in 1955, for example .

Scheier-Herold also appeared regularly in film and television productions. She played alongside Zarah Leander in the drama Ave Maria , in the Heinz Rühmann comedy The Man Who Couldn't Say No and in the Edgar Wallace film adaptation The Frog with the Mask . She also took on numerous guest roles in television series such as Die Fifth Kolonne , Das Kriminalmuseum and Kommissar Freytag .

Scheier-Herold also worked extensively in the field of radio plays and dubbing. As a voice actress she lent her voice to Georgette Anys in Fanfan Conducting Hussar , Gladys Cooper in Rebecca and May Robson in Father, among others .
