Karl "Charly" Rabanser (* 1954 in Bad Gastein ) is an Austrian actor , director and cultural worker.

biography

Charly Rabanser grew up in Salzburg, where he graduated from high school and attended the teacher training college . From 1976 he was a secondary school teacher in Neukirchen am Großvenediger . There he began his stage career in the Neukirchen Theater Association, which he co-founded. The Cinétheatro cultural center , which is still managed by Rabanser today, emerged from this. Through contact with well-known actors, he shifted his interests from teaching to the stage, so that in 1992 he took a leave of absence as a teacher.

Rabanser became known through his participation in the Salzburg Advent Singing . He worked there as an actor since 1991, after the death of Tobias Reiser in 1999 he was responsible for the direction of the drama and the text design and for the direction until 2009, when the management split up due to differing views.

He has been known to television viewers since 2005 in the role of the village landlord Valentin Salchegger in the series Four Women and a Death .
