União das Freguesias de Charneca de Caparica e Sobreda , short Charneca de Caparica e Sobreda , is a Portuguese municipality ( Freguesia ) in the district ( Concelho ) of Almada with 29.31 km² and 44,746 inhabitants (2011).

history

The municipality was created in the course of the territorial reform of September 29, 2013 by merging the former municipalities Charneca de Caparica and Sobreda . Charneca de Caparica became the seat of the new administration.
