The Cheepash River is an approximately 160 km long left tributary of the Moose River in the north of the Canadian province of Ontario .
The Cheepash River rises at an altitude of 140 m, 140 km north-northeast of Hearst . From there it initially flows 50 km to the east and then turns north-northeast and finally for the last 40 km to the east. The Cheepash River finally flows into the Moose River 32 km southwest of Moosonee opposite the mouth of the Abitibi River. The approximately 2,450 km² catchment area of the Cheepash River borders on that of the Kwetabohigan River in the west and that of the Missinaibi River in the south .
