The white wine variety Chelva is an autochthonous variety of Spain. Their cultivation is permitted in the regions of Castile-Leon , Extremadura and Andalusia . It is included in the white wines of the DO Ribera del Guadiana . At the end of the 1990s, 10,711 hectares of vineyards were raised.

In addition to viticulture , it is also used extensively as a table grape and is suitable both for the local market and for export.
