Chen Kuei-ru (born September 22, 1993 in Sihu ) is a Taiwanese hurdler who specializes in the 110-meter distance .
Athletic career
Chen Kuei-ru gained his first international experience at the Asian Games in Incheon , South Korea , where he was eliminated with 13.91 seconds. 2016 he was in the hall Asian Championships in Doha in 7.81 s fourth in the 60-meter hurdles . The following year he finished sixth at the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar in 13.82 s and won the silver medal behind the Hungarian Balázs Baji at the Summer Universiade in Taipei in 13.55 s . In 2018 he again took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta , where he also won the silver medal behind the Chinese Xie Wenjun in 13.39 seconds . The following year he won the bronze medal behind Xie and the Kuwaiti Yaqoub Mohamed al-Youha at the Asian Championships in Doha with equalizing his national record . So he qualified for the first time for the World Championships , which also took place in Doha and got there to the semifinals , in which he was eliminated with 13.52 s.
In 2018, Chen became the Taiwanese champion in the 110-meter hurdles. He graduated from National Taiwan Sport University .
