Chester Moor Hall
Chester Moor Hall , also Chester Moore Hall, Chester More Hall, (born December 9, 1703 in Leigh , Essex , † March 17, 1771 in Sutton , Surrey ) was an English lawyer and mathematician .
He made calculations to avoid chromatic aberration and invented the achromatic lens around 1733 . He also built an achromatic telescope. The first publications about it came from John Dollond , who also received the patent for it.
