Chester Marlon Hanks (born August 4, 1990 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American film actor .

Life

Chet Hanks is the older of the two sons of two-time Oscar winner Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson . His older half-brother Colin Hanks as well as his uncle Jim Hanks are also active as actors.

In contrast to his father and half-brother, Chet Hanks so far only attracted attention through supporting roles. He made his film debut in 2007 in the comedy film Bratz . A year later, in 2008, he starred in a small role in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull . In 2011, he impersonated a pizza delivery man at the side of his father in Larry Crowne . He was last seen on screen in 2015 in Fantastic Four . The actor Hanks also tries it as a rapper under the name Chet Hanx .

Chet Hanks is said to have had a year-long problem with alcohol and other drugs . He is said to have sexually harassed women during a stay in London in June 2015 and subsequently vandalized his hotel room. This resulted in property damage of the equivalent of 1,650 euros. Since the end of July 2015, Hanks has been missing. On July 23, 2015, he wrote a message on Instagram that he had to "clear his head". One trail leads to Barstow , California, a city famous for a hub for illegal drugs like crystal meth .

In December 2016, Chet Hanks reported on his Instagram account and announced the birth of his daughter and that he had been "clean" for a year and a half.
