Chiaki Ogasawara

Chiaki Ogasawara ( Japanese 小 笠原 千秋 , Ogasawara Chiaki ; born October 19, 1963 in Tomakomai , Hokkaido ) is a Japanese jazz singer , stylistically connected to mainstream jazz .

Chiaki Ogasawara, who has been active in the Japanese jazz scene since the 1980s, recorded her debut album Luxurious Pockets for Denon Records in 1987 . In the beginning of 1995 Ogasawara's second album Invitation was created , on which she performed by Eric Miyashiro (trumpet), Yohichi Murata (posanne), Seiji Tada (alto saxophone), Tatsuya Satō (tenor saxophone), Masatoshi Koi (baritone saxophone), Takashi Ohi (vibraphone), Naoki Nishi (Piano), Kohichiro Ono (drums). She then sang well-known standards such as Bob Dorough'sComin 'Home Baby ”, Gershwin'sLove Is Here to Stay ”, “ My Favorite Things ”, “ Nature Boy ”, “ Round About Midnight ” and “ Will You Still Be Mine? ". In 1999 she presented the album Standards & My Songs (SONY / Columbia).
