The Chillinji Pass is a high mountain pass with a peak height of 5291 m , which cannot be driven on, but only walked on.
The pass connects the Karambar Valley in Ghizer District with the Chapursan Valley in the Gilgit-Baltistan Autonomous Region (the former Northern Areas ) in Pakistan .
The pass is located 10 kilometers north of Mount Koz Sar , which is 6677 m high. To the west of the pass flows the Karambar , which is also called Ishkoman in the south. It flows into the Ghizer ( Gilgit ) at Gahkuch . In the east of the pass is the Chapursan , which flows further to the southwest and joins the Hunza at Khudabad on the Karakoram Highway .
