Chinami Yoshida ( Japanese 吉田 知 那 美 , Yoshida Chinami ; born July 26, 1991 in Kitami ) is a  Japanese  curler . She plays third in Satsuki Fujisawa's team .

Career

Yoshida began her international career at the 2013 Pacific Asian Cup as a substitute in the Japanese team led by Skip Ayumi Ogasawara ; the team won the bronze medal.

In 2014 she took part in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi as a substitute for the Japanese team . The Japanese team under Skip Ogasawara came in fifth.

At the 2015 Pacific Asia Cup , she played third for Skip Satsuki Fujisawa for the first time. The Japanese defeated the South Korean team around Skip Kim Ji-Sun in the final and won the gold medal. At the Pacific Asia Cup in 2016 she won the bronze medal and also in the Pacific Asia Cup 2017 she came third.

By winning the 2015 Pacific Asia Cup, Yoshida qualified with the Japanese national team for the 2016 World Cup in Swift Current . The Japanese finished the Round Robin with nine wins and two defeats, but lost in the  page playoff game of  the 1st against the 2nd but against the Swiss team of  Binia Feltscher . In the semifinals they were able to win against Anna Sidorova's Russian team   and still move into the final. There they were defeated by Binia Feltscher 6: 9. 

Yoshida and the Fujisawa team (Skip: Satsuki Fujisawa, Second: Yūmi Suzuki , Lead: Yurika Yoshida , replacement: Mari Motohashi ) won the Japanese selection competition for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games and represented Japan in Pyeongchang . After the round robin , she and her team were in fourth place and advanced to the final round. In the semifinals she had to admit defeat to South Korea with Skip Kim Eun-jung . In the game for third place, however, she was able to beat Great Britain with Skip Eve Muirhead 5: 3 and win the bronze medal. It was the first Olympic medal in curling for Japan.

At the Pacific Asia Cup in 2018 , she came in second with the Fujisawa team after losing to the Koreans led by Kim Min-ji in the final .

Private life

Her sister Yurika plays with her on the same team.
