Chloe Arthur (born January 21, 1995 in Erskine ) is a Scottish national football player .

Club career

Arthur started at Celtic in 2011, but only made three league appearances in the first season. In 2012 and 2013 there were 19 missions each. In December 2014, she moved to league rivals Hibernian Edinburgh. With the Hibs she was runner-up and reached the cup final, but was lost 3-0 to Glasgow City FC .

In 2016, she moved south to the second division Bristol City. With three goals in 20 games, she had a small part in the fact that Bristol rose to the top division as second division champions. In the short transition season 2017 of the FA Women's Super League called "Spring Series" , she played all eight games and did not miss a minute. The season ended for Bristol in penultimate place. In the 2017/18 season, which has now been adapted to the normal European schedule, she played 15 of 18 games on the English pitch. She then moved to Birmingham City, where she was not used once in the 2018/19 season.

National team

Arthur took part with the U-17 team in October 2010 in the first qualifying round for the 2011 U-17 European Women's Football Championship . The Scottish women won a tournament in Austria against the hosts, Romania and the Ukraine. Arthur was used in two games. In the second round in April 2011 they failed at a tournament in Switzerland against France. In October 2011 they made a new attempt, but this time they failed in the first round.

In October 2012 she was able to qualify with the U-19 team at a tournament in Turkey for the second round of qualifying for the 2013 U-19 European Women's Football Championship . In this round, held in April 2013, they had home rights, but could not use this in the first game against Denmark and lost with 0: 1. Since the Danes also won the other two games, the victories against Austria and Ukraine were of no use to the Scottish women, because they were only second-best group runner-up and only the best group runner-up was qualified for the final round alongside the group winners. In September 2013 she was able to qualify again for the second qualifying round at a tournament in Macedonia , with the Scottish women scoring the most goals in the first round with 29 goals. In April 2014 the second round at a tournament in Croatia was survived with three wins. At the finals in July they won their first game against Belgium, but then lost to the hosts and Norway, which meant they were eliminated third in the group. That ended her time as a junior national player.

In February 2015 she had her first appearance in the senior national team . She was substituted on in the 63rd minute in the 4-0 friendly against Northern Ireland . Her next appearance was at the Cyprus Cup 2015 in the game for 7th place, which was won 3-1 against the Netherlands , again as a substitute. She was also substituted on in her next six international matches, including one game in qualifying for the 2017 European Championship .

She was nominated for the 2017 European Women's Football Championship . In the 0: 6 in the Scottish women's first EM game against England , she was then in the starting line-up for the first time and had to see the debacle until the end. In the last group game, in which a victory against Spain and at the European Championship, she was allowed to play for 90 minutes.

In the first game after the European Championship under the new national coach Shelley Kerr, she was in the starting line-up, but was replaced in the second half.

In qualifying for the 2019 World Cup , she was only used in the games against Albania, including the last decisive game through which the Scottish women ultimately qualified for a World Cup finals for the first time.

On May 15, she was then nominated for the first Scottish Women's World Cup squad. At the World Cup, where the New Zealanders were eliminated after the group stage, they only had a 15-minute brief appearance in their first game against England.
