Chlopiwka ( Ukrainian Хлопівка ; Russian Хлоповка Chlopowka , Polish Chłopówka ) is a village in the east of the Ukrainian Ternopil Oblast with about 1100 inhabitants (2004).
On December 23, 2015, the village became part of the newly founded borough of Chorostkiv ( Хоростківська міська громада Chorostkiwska miska hromada ). Before that, it formed the district council of the same name.
It is located in the center of Hussjatyn Raion on the banks of the Tajna (Taina), a 46 km long tributary of the Hnyla . The district center of Hussyatyn is 29 km southeast and the oblast capital Ternopil about 60 km northwest of the village.
Personalities
The Ukrainian politician and Foreign Minister of the Ukrainian People's Republic Volodymyr Temnyzkyj was born in the village in 1879 .
