He is said to have been interested in spiritual healing , yoga and esotericism from an early age . He described himself as a student of Bodhisattva Padmasambhava . Together with his friend Mang Mike Nator, who died in 2003, he investigated paranormal questions. This resulted in his first book on pranic healing over two decades of development and research .

His pseudonym Choa Kok Sui is Chinese and means “the happiness of the world”. This name - also in combination with the titles of master and grandmaster - is registered as a trademark worldwide under his real name and is used to market his franchise company in the esoteric industry.

Samson Lim Choachuy founded the Institute for Inner Studies in Manila in 1987 , which is responsible for the worldwide coordination of the healing techniques he has developed, GMCKS Pranic Healing and GMCKS Arhatic Yoga. In 1990 he founded the World Pranic Healing Foundation, which has set itself the task of spreading Pranic healing in developing countries. In 1998 he started the Planetary Peace Movement International for world peace , with the intention of making the "meditation on two hearts" - based on the prayer of St. Francis - known. In the following years, according to his autobiography, he organized humanitarian aid for the homeless, starving and disaster victims. His books have been translated into 20 languages. Pranic healing is taught in at least 30 countries on 5 continents.
