The Chobiszqali ( Georgian ხობისწყალი ; Russian Хо́би ( Chobi )) is a tributary of the Black Sea in Georgia .
The Chobiszqali rises in the Egrissi Mountains , a mountain range east of the Enguri reservoir . It leaves the mountains and then flows through the Mingrelia and Upper Svaneti region in a south-south-west direction. He passes the city of Chchorozqu . Later it takes its most important tributary, the Tschaniszqali from the right. At Chobi the Chobiszqali reaches the Colchian Plain . It now turns to the west and flows into the Black Sea near the village of Kulewi .
The Chobiszqali has a length of 150 km. It drains an area of 1340 km². 30 km above the mouth, the mean discharge is 44.2 m³ / s. Maximum drains at this point reach values of up to 333 m³ / s. Some of the river water is diverted for irrigation purposes .
