Chris Erskine (born February 8, 1987 in Rutherglen , Glasgow ) is a Scottish football player who is under contract with the Scottish fifth division club FC East Kilbride .

Career

In the club

Chris Erskine, who was born in 1987 in Rutherglen, a district of Glasgow , played in his youth at FC Kilbirnie Ladeside from Kilbirnie . In the summer of 2013, the 20-year-old midfielder moved to the then Scottish second division team Partick Thistle . For the traditional Scottish club from Glasgow, he should complete 137 league games and score 26 goals in the next four seasons. In the 2012/13 season he rose with the team in the Scottish Premiership . Before the start of the new season , he moved to league rivals Dundee United together with team manager Jackie McNamara and teammate Paul Paton .

Erskine helped the new club to reach the Scottish Cup final in the first season . This was lost to FC St. Johnstone . Chris Erskine played during the cup final, however, on loan at Thistle who had loaned him from January to June 2014. The following season he came with United in the final of the League Cup which was lost to Celtic Glasgow 2-0. He came on as a substitute for Paul Paton in the 62nd minute.
