Chris Hunter (born July 7, 1984 in Gary , Indiana ) is an American basketball player . He used to play for the Golden State Warriors in the NBA .
As a college player, he joined the Michigan Wolverines from the University of Michigan as a power forward .
Hunter played, as he was not drafted, first in Europe in Poland ( AZS Koszalin , 2006/2007) and Belgium ( Spotter Leuven , 2007/2008), before the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the NBA Development before the 2008/2009 season League was committed. He then signed with the New York Knicks on April 14, 2009 and appeared in two preparation games, scoring two points in an average of 4½ minutes per game before being sorted out on October 22nd. On November 20, Hunter signed with the Golden State Warriors , making him the first commitment of the 2009/2010 NBA D-League season.
