action
After Christa, who was deported to a girls 'boarding school by her mother as a child, returns to her parents' house as the oldest student, she is coldly welcomed by her mother, who only takes care of her failed son. When she is welcomed at home, she first meets and then loves Römer, an employee of her father who owns a mine. When Römer is transferred to Mexico, he asks his terminally ill friend Dickens to take care of Christa. Meanwhile, the Hartungen company gets into financial problems due to the recklessness of its brother. The company can only be saved through the arranged wedding between Christa and Dickens. When the Romans return, they understand and accept their actions. Shortly afterwards he is rescued from the mine by Christa, where he had an accident. From Dickens's deathbed, he realizes that Römer still loves his wife. He dies in front of the future couple.
