Christian Adam (artist)

Christian Adam (* 1941 in Opole ) is a German artist. Among other things, he works in the fields of painting and art in construction in Heidelberg . He mainly deals with his MBO cycle ( Macrobiological Organisms ).

Life

Christian Adam studied from 1962 to 1967 in Cologne with Karl Marx , in Frankfurt am Main with Walter Hergenhahn and in Munich with Karl Kaspar and Georg Meistermann . Between 1969 and 1970 he worked in Berlin .

From 1971 to 1973 Adam was a graphic designer and freelancer at the South Asia Institute at Heidelberg University . In 1978 he began to focus on what is known as his MBO cycle.

His work focuses on painting, objects (three-dimensional design), building art, fountains, installations, photography, new media, graphics and satirical drawings; he also writes prose and poetry.

Adam was a laureate of the 1st construction phase of the head clinic, Heidelberg University and received the Willibald Kramm Prize in Heidelberg in 2006.

His works in public collections include a. in the head clinic Heidelberg, district office Heidelberg, regional council Karlsruhe and the art collection Rhein-Neckar-Kreis.

Christian Adam is a member of the Rhein-Neckar Artists Association .
