Christian Anderson

Christian Anderson (born December 4,  1974 in Berlin ) is a former American / German basketball player who played in the basketball league for TTL Bamberg as well as for several German second division clubs .

career

Anderson played basketball in the United States at university level at Atlanta Metropolitan College (1995-1997), the College of Charleston (1997/98) and Virginia Union University (1998-2000).

In 2000, the 1.98-meter-tall winger switched to professional business: he practiced with Israeli clubs before signing a contract with Swiss national division BC Boncourt. There Anderson was a top performer with an average of over 20 points per game.

For the 2001/02 season, Anderson moved to TTL Bamberg in the German basketball league . He made 15 appearances in the Bundesliga for Upper Franconia and averaged 6.3 points per match.

In the game year 2002/03 Anderson was first for Greenville Groove in the US division NBDL on the field, before he moved to the French second division Golbey-Epinal during the season. At the end of 2004 he returned to Germany and played briefly for TSV Crailsheim  in the 2nd basketball league before moving within the league to TuS Iserlohn  . For Iserlohn he scored 21.6 points per game.

In the following season, Anderson drew attention to himself as a strong attacking winger in the 2nd Bundesliga: He started the 2005/06 game year as a team member of Erdgas Ehingen / Urspringschule , during the season he moved to the NVV Lions Mönchengladbach . In the shirt of the Rhinelander he statistically scored 25.5 points per deployment. He then played briefly for the South Dragons in Australia.

In January 2007 he joined BG 74 Göttingen  (then 2. Bundesliga), in the 2007/08 season he was under contract with two different clubs in the Spanish EBA league: first with Valls-Felix Hotel, then with Embutidos Espana CBGerindote.

In December 2008, Anderson again signed a contract with a German club when he was committed by the regional league team BG Bitterfeld-Sandersdorf-Wolfen 06  . He played for the team until the end of the 2009/10 season.

After his playing days, Anderson remained connected to the sport of basketball as a coach and became assistant coach to the women of Atlanta Metropolitan State College. He had once studied and played at university.
