Christian Auer (composer)

Christian Auer (* 1958 in Ortenburg near Passau ) is a German composer , pianist , musical director and performer.

Life

Christian Auer studied music teaching and composition for film and television with Enjott Schneider at the Munich University of Music . In 1999 he founded and directed the Valentin-Karlstadttheater in Munich until 2006. From 2002 to 2008 he founded and directed the Theatertage Schloss Ortenburg, in 2006 he founded the artist collective Kurzweil & Wohlklang together with Karl-Heinz Hummel and Benjamin Sahler .

Auer composed some stage music, the Bavarian operetta Der Kaiser im Rottal as well as operas and musicals ( Luther - Rebell Gottes ). He also arranged and directed various CD productions for the Bavarian Radio with Wolfgang Aschenbrenner .

From 2015 to 2017 he was a lecturer in songwriting and orchestral arrangements at the HG Berlin.
