Christian Bartelt (born June 5, 1931 in Wulfflatzke , Neustettin district ; † February 6, 2020 ) was a Hessian politician ( CDU ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

After graduating from high school in 1951, Christian Bartelt studied law at the universities of Frankfurt and Marburg and received his doctorate in Marburg in 1959. Jur. From 1963 to 1970 he was an official in the Hessian Ministry of Economics. Since June 1, 1984 he was Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt . Christian Bartelt was married and had one child.

politics

From 1970 to 1974 Christian Bartelt was a city councilor in Wiesbaden . From December 1, 1970 to February 17, 1987 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament for five electoral terms. He ran in the constituency of Wiesbaden II , but was elected via the CDU state list. From October 15, 1980 to June 5, 1984 he was deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group. In 1984 he was a member of the 8th Federal Assembly .
