Christian Friedrich Voigt (organ builder, around 1725)

Christian Friedrich Voigt (* around 1725 in Damm , Pomerania ; † November 5, 1780 in Wartin , Pomerania) was a German organ builder and organist in Wartin.

Life

His father was an instrument maker in Damm near Stettin. Christian Friedrich Voigt became organist in Wartin in 1767. An annual salary of 20 thalers has been handed down for service in Wartin and in neighboring Blumberg .

His son Ernst Otto Voigt (1756–1827) succeeded him as organist and organ builder in Wartin. Some repairs are known from him.

Works (selection)

Christian Friedrich Voigt knows a few new organs in Pomerania, the Uckermark and the Barnim . The large organ in Stettin had characteristics of the Wagner school.
