Christian Friedrich von Küssow

Christian Friedrich Graf von Küssow (* 1721 ; † February 16, 1758 ) was a Prussian district administrator . From 1749 until his death he was in charge of the Soldin district .

He was born in Pomerania as a member of the Pomeranian noble family von Küssow . His father Bernd Joachim von Küssow (* 1687, † 1743) was the district administrator of the Pyritz district . His mother was born in von Burgsdorff .

Christian Friedrich von Küssow studied at the University of Greifswald from 1738 . He joined the Prussian army , where he was last lieutenant in the Gensdarmes regiment . After he left, he moved to his father's estate in Megow in Pomerania.

In 1749 he was appointed as the successor to Johann Eitel von Brandt as District Administrator of the Soldin district in Neumark . He held the office until his death in 1758; his successor was Wilhelm Richard von Schöning .

His cousin Erasmus Ernst Friedrich von Küssow , Electorate Chamberlain, had obtained an imperial count diploma in 1723 and a Swedish count diploma in 1724. When in 1752 the Pomeranian Küssows obtained Prussian recognition of the count, this recognition also applied to Christian Friedrich von Küssow, now Christian Friedrich Graf von Küssow.

Christian Friedrich von Küssow was married to his relative Dorothea Eleonora von Küssow (* 1717). The marriage resulted in three daughters and one son. The son of Behrendt George Friedrich von Küssow (* 1746; † 1802) was last Prussian major and heir on Megow. His daughter Johanna Friederike Albertine (* 1796; † 1857) was married to the Prussian general Leopold von Gerlach .
