Christian Gottfried Daniel Stein

Christian Gottfried Daniel Stein (born October 14, 1771 in Leipzig , † June 14, 1830 in Berlin ) was a German geographer .

Stein learned at the Thomas School and studied in Leipzig, was appointed to the Gray Monastery in Berlin in 1795 , where he worked until his death on June 14, 1830.

His New Atlas of the Whole Earth (Leipzig 1814) was edited by Ziegler, Lange and others in a 33rd edition (28 maps with tables etc., Leipzig 1875).
