Christian Greve (born August 15, 1965 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

The defender Greve started his career with DJK Arminia Ibbenbüren and moved to the youth team of FC Schalke 04 at the age of 15 . In 1983 he moved to VfL Osnabrück , where he played for two years without being part of the professional team. Greve then returned to Ibbenbüren and played a year for the regional league club Ibbenbüren Spvg . He then moved to the association league club VfB Rheine , with whom he was promoted to the Oberliga Westfalen two years later .

In the summer of 1990 Greve then moved to ASC Schöppingen , with whom he was runner-up in the Oberliga Westfalen behind SC Verl . A year later, the Schöppinger withdrew from the league for financial reasons and Greve went to the second division VfL Osnabrück . On July 26, 1992, he made his second division debut in the 6-0 win of Osnabrück against SV Waldhof Mannheim . For VfL, who were relegated at the end of the season, Greve completed 22 second division games and scored one goal.

He then moved to the upper division Arminia Bielefeld , where he scored three goals in 17 games and secured Arminia's qualification for the re-established regional league . In the summer of 1996 Greve went to the association league promoted TuS Ahlen , with whom he rose to the major league a year later and a year later to the regional league. From 1996 he let his career at FC Eintracht Rheine end.

Greve later worked as a trainer at Alemannia Salzbergen and Grün-Weiß Rheine .
