Christian Greve (basketball coach)

Christian Greve (born April 12, 1975 in Lübeck ) is a German basketball coach .

career

Greve grew up in Ratzeburg , played basketball there with Ratzeburger SV and was also active in the club as a coach for youth teams. From 2008 to 2010 Greve was assistant coach at the women's Bundesliga club BC Wildcats Wolfenbüttel , before he was employed by BG Rotenburg / Scheeßel from 2010 to 2015 . In Rotenburg he worked as a youth coordinator, in November 2012 he also took over the position of head coach of the women's Bundesliga team . In 2014 Greve led the Rotenburger back to the first division after relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga. He was then named “Trainer of the Year” by the city of Rotenburg in 2014. In the 2014/15 season, the BG women under Greve's leadership reached the semi-finals in the Bundesliga championship round, where they were eliminated, but won the games for third place.

From 2015 Greve, who headed the youth department at the Lower Saxony Basketball Association, was active in youth work at Artland Dragons and TSV Quakenbrück.In January 2017, he and Florian Hartenstein took on the position of head coach at Artländer in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB .

In the summer of 2018, Greve returned to BG Rotenburg / Scheeßel and took up the post of head coach of the women's team (now in the 2nd Bundesliga).
