Christian Leiber (born around 1952) is a German prehistoric archaeologist . He headed the district archeology of the district of Holzminden and the cultural center Weser Renaissance - Bevern Castle until 2018.

As a schoolboy Christian Leiber developed an interest in the medieval forest glassworks in Hils . He studied from around 1975 to 1981 at the Georg-August University of Göttingen and the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen . His subjects were prehistory and early history , hunting archeology, classical archeology and ethnology . Christian Leiber finished his studies with a dissertation on The Neolithic between Hildesheim Forest and Ith . Since 1982 he has been a district archaeologist for the Holzminden district, with the exception of the city of Holzminden. The main focus he worked by excavations on the theme of the glassworks and forest glass huts in Weserbergland , for example in the Waldglashutte under the Hilsborn and the glass factory Holzen . He also deals with castle complexes in the Weserbergland, such as the Polle castle ruins . At his place of employment in Bevern Castle , he was in charge of the local cultural center. On his retirement in 2018, he was appointed honorary professor at the Maria Curie Skłodowska University in Lublin .
