Archeology in Lower Saxony

Archeology in Lower Saxony (AiN) is a series of publications on topics related to the preservation of historical monuments in Lower Saxony , in the context of which archaeologists , paleontologists , preservationists and scientists from neighboring departments publish reports on excavations and finds from different periods. The publication, which has been published as a yearbook since 1998, is published by the Archaeological Commission for Lower Saxony and is published by Isensee Verlag .

The purpose of the series is to inform the public interested in archaeological research about regional research activities. It is funded with research funds from the State of Lower Saxony . Each issue contains around 30 to 40 articles on various topics from current archaeological research and investigation. The articles in the form of short essays that are understandable even for laypeople do not have the character of a scientific publication. Each issue is dedicated to a thematic focus. Book reviews, exhibition announcements and personnel changes in the preservation of monuments in Lower Saxony are also included.
