Christian M. Schmahl

Christian M. Schmahl (born June 22, 1964 ) is a German manager .

Life

Christian M. Schmahl studied business administration with a focus on banking / finance and human resources / management at the University of Bayreuth and in the USA and completed his training as a business graduate. He started his professional career at KPMG in 1990 . In 1996 he was co-founder of SBS Corporate Finance Beratunggesellschaft mbH and advised telecommunications companies on M&A and corporate finance issues. In 1998 he took over the management of the network controlling division at E-Plus .

In October 1999, he moved to T-Online International AG , where he was Senior Vice President Controlling & Planning, where he carried out the company's IPO and set up controlling .

In February 2007, Christian M. Schmahl was appointed Chief Financial Officer and CFO of T-Online. After the merger of T-Online with Deutsche Telekom , he was appointed Chief Financial Officer and CFO of the T-Online successor unit, Products & Innovation. Here he was responsible for the financial management of the growth businesses as well as research and product development at Deutsche Telekom. At the same time, he was Executive Vice President responsible for product portfolio management at Deutsche Telekom from 2007 to 2010.

The Supervisory Board of Aareon AG , Europe's leading consulting and systems house for the real estate industry, appointed Christian M. Schmahl to the Aareon AG Management Board at the beginning of 2012. As CFO, he will take on responsibility for the Finance and Internal Services department, which was newly created as part of the international growth strategy.

In 2005 he was awarded the Controlling Prize by the International Controller Association for his innovative planning and control concept. In an extensive study carried out by Directorbank, Hanson Green and Grant Thornton, Christian M. Schmahl was nominated in 2011 as "Outstanding CFO / Finance Director".

It is active in numerous supervisory boards and advisory boards. As patron and jury member of the Best Paper Award at EBS Universität , he has been committed to promoting innovation in science and its transfer into practice for years.
