Christian Meisner

Christian Meisner (born April 6, 1868 in Bamberg ; † July 11, 1944 in Heidelberg ) was a German lawyer and politician (DDP).

After attending primary and secondary schools in Bamberg, Münnerstadt and Ehingen (Württ.) And serving as a one-year volunteer in the 2nd Bavarian Field Artillery Regiment , Meisner studied law at the Universities of Würzburg and Greifswald . He was a member of the Corps Moenania Würzburg and Guestfalia Greifswald . After completing his studies, he settled in Würzburg as a lawyer. He wrote several legal works, some of which were continued by other editors after his death and appeared in further editions.

After the end of the First World War , Meisner joined the German Democratic Party . In May 1919 he entered the Weimar National Assembly as a replacement for his resigned party colleague Christian Ritter von Langheinrich , in which he represented constituency 26 (Upper, Middle and Lower Franconia) until the first regular Reichstag of the Republic met.
