Christian Neuhäuser (* 1977 ) is a German philosopher and university professor .

Life

Christian Neuhaus studied in Göttingen , Berlin and Hong Kong both philosophy , sociology , political science and Chinese studies . In 2010 he received his doctorate from the University of Potsdam with a thesis on the moral status of economic companies. He then worked as an academic adviser at the Institute for Philosophy at the University of Bochum . Christian Neuhäuser has been Professor of Philosophy and Managing Director of the Institute for Philosophy and Political Science at TU Dortmund since 2014 .

Focus

Neuhäuser researches, among other things, theories of dignity , responsibility and property . His main focus is on business ethics and the philosophy of international politics . Neuhäuser found a wider audience with his monograph Wealth as a Moral Problem , published by Suhrkamp in 2018 , which was discussed, among others, in Die Zeit , the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung , the Freitag , the German magazine for philosophy , the magazine for ethics and moral philosophy , the Deutschlandfunk Kultur as well as on Swiss radio .
