Christian Noel Emmanuel
Christian Noel Emmanuel (born December 25, 1960 in Trincomalee ) is a Sri Lankan clergyman and Roman Catholic Bishop of Trincomalee .
Life
Noel Emmanuel received on 12 March 1985, the ordination as deacon and on 21 May 1986 by Bishop Kingsley Swampillai the priesthood for the Diocese of Trincomalee-Batticaloa .
On June 3, 2015, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Trincomalee. He received his episcopal ordination on July 25th of the same year by his predecessor Joseph Kingsley Swampillai. Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Batticaloa , Joseph Ponniah , and the Bishop of Galle , Raymond Wickramasinghe .
