The Bistum bile ( lat. : Dioecesis Gallensis ) is in Sri Lanka preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in bile . It includes the areas of the southern province .

history

The diocese Galle was on August 25, 1893 by Pope Leo XIII. built from cession of territory by the Archdiocese of Colombo and subordinated to this as a suffragan . On November 2, 1995, the diocese was bile parts of its territory to the founding of the Apostolic Constitution Ad Aptius erected Diocese of Ratnapura from.
