The Bistum Ratnapura ( lat. : Dioecesis Ratnapurensis ) is in Sri Lanka preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Ratnapura . It includes the province of Sabaragamuwa .
history
Pope John Paul II founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Ad aptius consulendum on November 2, 1995 from cession of territory by the Diocese of Galle and it was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Colomboh as a suffragan diocese.
