Christian Pölzl
Christian Pölzl (born December 22, 1962 in Graz ; † August 2, 2017 there ) was an Austrian theater director , actor and musician .
Life
Born in Graz, Christian Pölzl showed his talent early on and performed at the Schauspielhaus Graz as a teenager . In the 1980s Pölzl staged in the Graz off-scene and in the Theater im Keller, Graz and also gained his first experience in the field of performance and electronic live music.
In 1985 Pölzl developed the Stanitschek cabaret program together with Ernst M. Binder and performed with it in the Theatercafe Graz and other venues.
For almost ten months, the duo worked on a theater animation project with patients at the LSKH Graz , the results of which were premiered as a scenic collage on May 23, 1986 under the title Heimat are you big sons .
From 1987 to 1994, together with Binder, Pölzl headed the theater department at Forum Stadtpark Graz and was responsible for a large number of productions, but also occasionally appeared as an actor, for example in the first production of the newly founded theater: Magic Afternoon by Wolfgang Farmer .
From the late 1990s Pölzl appeared as an organizer, bar operator, small gallery owner, head of the Graz cultural association Subkutan and from 2010 also as a blogger.
Pölzl was a qualified dog trainer and was actively involved in setting up the therapy dogs section of the Styrian dog sports club.
