Christian Posch

Christian Posch (born June 22, 1925 in Maria Alm am Steinernen Meer ) is a former Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and district peasant chamber secretary. Posch was a member of the Salzburg state parliament from 1974 to 1984 and was active as a local councilor in Hallein .

education and profession

Posch began his training in 1931 at the elementary school in Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer , where he also completed secondary school by 1939. He then attended the agricultural school in Bruck an der Großglocknerstrasse from 1941 to 1943 and, in the last year of his training at the Bruck agricultural school, passed the examination to become an agricultural master at the Winklhof agricultural school in Oberalm . After completing this training, Posch was drafted into military service in World War II, which he completed between 1943 and 1945. After returning from the war, Posch continued his school education from 1946 to 1950 at the higher federal college Francisco-Josephinum in Wieselburg and passed his Matura in 1950. He then worked from 1950 to 1964 as a business consultant in Hallein and in 1952 passed the teaching qualification test for the agricultural teaching and promotion service in Vienna . Posch worked between 1964 and 1989 as a district chamber secretary at the Hallein District Chamber of Agriculture. In 1988 Posch was given the professional title of government councilor.

politics

Posch acted as district party chairman of the Austrian People's Party Tennengau between 1969 and 1980 . In addition, Posch held the office of district chairman of the Austrian Workers' Union (ÖAAB) in Tennengau from 1976 to 1986 . He was also involved as a member of the Hallein City Council between 1954 and 1967 and held the office of Hallein City Council between 1967 and 1985. Between 1961 and 1995 he was also the district manager of the Salzburger Bildungswerk in Tennengau and represented the ÖVP Salzburg from May 22, 1974 to May 15, 1984 in the Salzburg state parliament.
