Christian Ernst Raulin (born December 16, 1958 in Berlin ) is a German specialist in dermatology , allergology and vein medicine , who is primarily active in aesthetic-surgical medicine .

Life

Christian Raulin grew up in Ludwigsburg . In 1977 he obtained his Abitur at the Friedrich-Schiller-Gymnasium Ludwigsburg .

From 1977 to 1979 he studied at the Ruhr University in Bochum. From 1979 to 1983 he studied at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . In 1983 Raulin was licensed as a doctor . During his studies Raulin received a scholarship from the Konrad Adenauer Foundation . In 1984 he did his doctorate on insulitis in AKR mice under the influence of alloxan and unspecific activation of the immune system by foreign proteins . In 2002 he completed his habilitation on the subject of laser and IPL technology - developments, results and evaluation of innovative therapeutic methods in dermatology .

From 1983 to 1988 Christian Raulin was an assistant doctor at the University Dermatology Clinic in Heidelberg. Since 1988 he has been a specialist in dermatology , venereology and allergology . In 1988 he gained the additional title " Naturopathic Treatment " and in 1995 the additional title "Phlebology". Since 1989 he has been established as a dermatologist in his own practice in Karlsruhe , with a focus on dermatological laser therapy . He has also been an adjunct professor at Heidelberg University since 2006 .

In 2016 Christian Raulin was a founding member of the registered association “German Society for Aesthetic Botulinum and Filler Therapy”, of which he is the second chairman.

According to the Scopus database , Raulin (as of December 2019) has an h-index of 30.
