Christian Andreas Rave (born September 2, 1770 , † October 11, 1856 ) was a mountain master and climber .

Rave was initially in government service. At first he opposed the mining plans of the city of Münder , but after a long dispute he also took over the management of the Münder mines in the Süntel , which experienced an upswing between 1806 and 1865. In addition to the salt works, glassworks and brickworks in Münder, Hamelin industrial companies and customers in the Braunschweig and Lippe regions were also supplied.

Around 1834/1835 he also produced Bouteille glass with his widow Hentig in the Klein Süntel glassworks . In 1836 he also worked on the coal mine at Suersser Brink near Wennigsen.

On the initiative of city architect Gottfried Kastl (1908–1990) a memorial was erected to him in the Süntel, below the mountain forge .
