Christian Remchen (2020)

Christian Konstantin Remchen (born December 13, 1976 in Zelinograd , Kazakh SSR ) is a German painter, graphic artist and architect. As a repatriate, he emigrated to Germany in 2003 and has lived in Bad Neustadt an der Saale since 2007

Life

Christian Remchen did his training from 1995 to 2001 at the Kazakh Agricultural University or otherwise Seifullin University. In addition to architecture, he devoted himself to painting from an early age. As a result of the end of the Soviet Union, he moved to Germany in 2003. He has been living and working in Bad Neustadt an der Saale since 2007 . An accident at work in 2012 brought about a complete reorientation in his life. In 2016 he founded the “Erlebnis -kunststatt”, which represents a transition stage to the “Classical Art Academy Remchen” founded in 2019, where he gives lessons for different target groups and individuals.

Another focus of his work is sculpture. He produces sculptures, models and figures. He sells these products commercially under the label "Form-Figurbau", also based in Bad Neustadt. He works “like before” and is proficient in all painting media and styles, his main focus is portraits. In the 2016 Facebook project “I paint my FB friends”, he drew 1000 portraits with a ballpoint pen in one year. Today he has already made over 3000 portraits with pen, pencil, charcoal, watercolor, oil and in sculpture. It stands for the rebirth of German painting as it was from the 17th to the beginning of the 20th century. His role models are: Albrecht Dürer , Arnold Böcklin , Ludwig Fahrenkrog , Philipp Otto Runge , Anselm Feuerbach , Adolph von Menzel , Carl Spitzweg , Tilman Riemenschneider , Peter Nicolai Arbo , Johan Fredrik Eckersberg , etc.
