Christian Schäfer (2015)

Christian Schäfer (born August 9, 1963 in Detmold ) is a German interior architect and politician ( LKR , previously AfD ). He was chairman of the Bremen regional association of the AfD and the top candidate for the 2015 state election in Bremen . In July 2015 he left the AfD and joined the newly founded party Alliance for Progress and Awakening (since 2016 Liberal-Conservative Reformer, LKR).

biography

After graduating from high school, Schäfer studied interior design at the Lippe-Detmold University of Applied Sciences . He is married, has one child and has lived in Bremen since 1995.

politics

When the AfD state association Bremen was founded in May 2013, shepherds were elected state spokesman. He ran in the 2013 federal election in the constituency of Bremen I and was ranked number 1 on the state list. He achieved 2.9% of the first votes cast. To Bremen state election in 2015 Shepherd was AFD's leading candidate. It received 4,324 votes. Since the AfD in Bremen overcame the five percent hurdle , Schäfer was elected to the citizenry.

Schäfer resigned from the AfD after the AfD federal party conference in 2015 in Essen . He was in charge of founding the Bremen State Association, Alliance for Progress and Awakening, and was elected Deputy Federal Chairman of the Alliance for Progress and Awakening in 2016.

He belonged to the citizens of the group Liberal-Conservative reformers Bremen , which in July 2015 briefly the name Bremer Civil reformers wore. In June 2017, the LKR MPs Piet Leidreiter and Klaus Remkes declared their transfer to the voters' association Bürger in Anger . Since then, Schäfer has represented the LKR as a single member of the Bremen citizenship. He was also the last remaining LKR member in a German state parliament.

In the general election in Bremen in 2019 , he lost his mandate.
